Locations for Government Documents

To locate specific Govenment Documents in the areas mentioned below, please use Peak Catalog.

Documents Stacks (Docs Stacks)
The Documents Stacks (Docs Stacks) are located in the southwest corner, lower level of the building. The Documents are organized by SuDoc Classification. Oversize publications, which house Government Documents 30-40 cm. in height, follow this section.
Reference
A number of frequently used Government Documents can be found at four areas in Reference located on the main floor. These areas include Reference Docs, Reference Consulting Tables, Ready Reference Docs, and the Reference Tax Docs.
Current Periodicals/
Microforms/Reserve
This area, located in the northeast corner on the main floor, contains frequently used federal documents and the microforms collection.

Current Periodicals (CurPer):
Current issues of some government periodicals can be found in the CurPer stacks and are arranged alphabetically by title.

Microform Collection:
A variety of government publications are published on microfiche, including select education, NASA, and General Accounting Office Documents. In addition, current Congressional Documents are located at the end of the Government Documents microfiche ranges and are arranged by Congressional year.

Reserve:
Select U.S. government documents, particularly current Colorado Census publications and CD-ROMS are permanently located at Reserve.

Map/Folio
The Map Case houses the U.S. Geological Survey Maps for the states of Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah. These Maps are arranged by state, then alphabetically by quadrangle. In addition, CIA maps with the SuDoc number, PREX 3.10/4: are located in this case and are arranged by SuDoc order. Various posters can be found in the bottom drawers of the map case.

The Folio Case houses U.S. Government Documents greater than 40 cm in height or 30 cm in width.
