Fannie E. Lorber breaking ground at the Denver Sheltering Home for Jewish Children

Mrs. Fannie E. Lorber was one of the founders of the Denver Sheltering Home, which opened in 1908.  She is shoveling dirt for a groundbreaking of the Lorber Building, with many men and women looking on.  The Sheltering Home began as a home for the children of tuberculosis patients who came to the sanitoriums in Denver, Colo.
