 | | A
two-piece taffeta skirt and bodice. This view shows the front of the bodice.
The bodice is made from butter cream colored taffeta matching the skirt.
However, the sleeves are made from a like colored fabric, but not of the
same jacquard (woven print). The bodice is slightly V-necked and closes front-center.
Two layers of lace (matches the lace used in the skirt) trim the neck, the
cuffs, the bottom of the bodice and the gussets on the sleeves. The center
back bodice has four metal hoops for attaching the skirt and four finished
holes for attaching the bustle-pad. This garment is part of the Frances Wisebart
Jacobs collection. |
